Hello parents, students, staff and community members!

My name is Michelle Gilmer and I am proud to serve as Assistant Principal at Sikeston Middle School! I have been an educator in the Sikeston R6 School District for 23 of the last 24 years and am proud to be a Bulldog! 

I am a graduate of New Madrid County Central High School and I attended Missouri State University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have a Master of Education in Information and Learning Science Technologies from the University of Missouri – Columbia and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University.

I began my teaching career at Southeast Elementary where I taught first, fourth and fifth grades. I have also served the district as an Instructional Technology Coach, but am happy to have found my home at the Middle School.

I am a firm believer in the importance of building relationships with our students, parents, staff, and community members. Please feel free to reach out to me for any concern or issue you have. I look forward to working with everyone and having a great school year!
