5th Grade ELA
I attended Lee-Hamilton Elementary in Ferguson, Missouri, from kindergarten through fifth grade! My family relocated to Festus, Missouri, where I attended school until I graduted from high school in 2014. I went on to Southeast Missouri State University and obtained my Bachelor’s of Science in Education, specializing in elementary education. I graduated from SEMO on May 12, 2018.
This will be my first year teaching! I did my student teaching in Cape Girardeau in a third grade classroom. I am very excited to be a bulldog!
I have two older sisters, both of whom are married. One lives not far from our parents in St. Louis and the other lives in Lexington, Kentucky. I have two nephews, one on Earth and one in heaven.
I am engaged to be married to a wonderful man named D.J. and we live together in Cape Girardeau with our one year old beagle/heeler mix, Lulabelle. We are getting married in April of 2019 in Eureka, Missouri.
I have a wide variety of interests! I was a co-president of Harry Potter Club at SEMO and I am obsessed with Marvel movies and TV shows (i.e., Iron Man/Captain America/Spiderman/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) I love writing my own stories as well. I also enjoy video games, movies, and reading. My favorite food is pizza, and I even worked at Domino’s Pizza in high school! One thing I love that I do not get to do often is be outside. I worked as a counselor at a Girl Scout resident camp for four summers and as a day camp counselor for the Jefferson County YMCA for two summers. I coach gymnastics in my spare time and in the summers.
