5th Grade Teacher
I graduated from the University of Missouri St. Louis with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.
I also have an Associates in Criminal Justice and will hopefully be getting a Masters in Elementary Administration.
This is my first year here at the Sikeston 5th and 6th grade center as well as my first year teaching. I love it!
I teach math to my peaceful, respectful, and organized 5th graders! :)
Immediately after high school, I joined the United States Air Force and served as a security forces member for over 4 years. My heart changed once my orders were up, so I decided I would try with all my heart to impact lives at a young age for the betterment of society as a whole, and to hopefully make a positive difference in the individual lives of children.
October 19th will be my 11 year anniversary to my amazing husband, John Ridings.
We currently do not have any children, but we love our little beagle/dashund, Daisy who is now 9 years old.
I enjoy the great outdoors, so if I am not working that is where you will find me – rain or shine! My husband, my pup Daisy and I like to take long walks and simply get in some exercise while enjoying the beauty of nature. Fall is by far my favorite time of year. The colors, smells and atmosphere seem to speak to all my senses as I sit by a warm bon fire and count the stars. I also enjoy cooking delishious, healthy meals, watching a feel-good movie with my family and doing anything that stimulates my artistic side. I am mellow, but enjoy learning and believe we should all be life-long learners as there are so many wonderous things to discover about the beautiful world in which we live.
